Because the world around us is changing, the domain of Educational Sciences is changing. ICO and the ICO Educational programme will pursue these changes. To read more about ICO now and in the future, go to the document Het ICO-opleidingsprogramma: Nu en in de toekomst (ICO’s Educational Programme: Now and in the future).

The three most notable changes are:
  • The admission of ‘irregular’ PhD students as ICO PhD Member: students who have a part time appointment smaller than 0,6 FTE, or external PhD Candidates at ICO universities (who do not have an appointment at one of the ICO universities)
  • The expansion of the ICO Theme groups
  • The transition to ECTS credits as a standard for comparing the study attainment and performance of students.
