Registration procedure of new PhD projects and members simplified

posted 10 Jul 2012, 01:35 by ICO Education

The procedure for becoming a PhD member has been simplified by the new ICO Form for Project Proposals, which combines the Project Proposal with the Education and Supervision plan.

Before a PhD student can become a member of ICO, the PhD project has to be approved by ICOs Scientific Committee. The supervisor is responsible for this, by sending in the ICO Form for Project Proposals. If the project has already been approved by NWO, sending in the NWO form, and part 7 of the ICO form will suffice.
After approval of the Scientific Committee, the PhD student will be asked to fill in the ICO registration form for PhD members. From that moment on, the PhD is a member of ICO, and can register for ICO Courses as a PhD member.
