The PEP network (Pedagogy, Education & Praxis) invites ICO PhD candidates to participate in the course Researching Professional Practice: Action Research and the Theory of Practice Architecture.

This course considers the nature of professional practice, practice architectures and site-based educational development. In particular, it will explore how professional development is crucial for changing educational practice and how studying what happens at and in particular sites employing a practice theory lens can give a deeper understanding of professional development in educational practice and schools.

The authors invited to participate in the course have been chosen because they have been active contributors to recent research and scholarship about the nature of professional practice and research into professional practice with particularly focus on different perspectives on professional development.

The course has one physical meeting in Melbourne 26-28 November. Between the meetings, there will be webinars and online discussions. Participation in the course is free. Participation of the f-2-f meeting in Melbourne can be combined with the AARE Conference in Sydney. If you have questions about the course, please contact the course leader.
