ICO PhD-students can replace one of the ICO master classes (of 3 ECTS) by a combination of Shorter Educational Activities (SEAs).  The 1st International Digital Spring School ‘Brain, Lifestyle, and Learning’ of the Open University has now been added to our ICO Educational Programme as Shorter Educational Activity. By attending the Spring School you can partly or fully exempt from one ICO master class, depending on the number of sessions you will take part in.

The Digital Spring School will provide you with the latest scientific insights about Physical activity, Nutrition, and Sleep in relation to brain, learning, and cognition. Also, the societal implications of these lifestyle factors for learning and cognition in lifelong perspective and the relevance for educational practice will get attention. Furthermore, it is an excellent chance to express your knowledge and expertise.

Several well-known national and international scientists will present their work and views during seven respective digital master classes, which can be followed by everybody with Internet access. In addition, there will be multiple possibilities to exchange knowledge with participants and speakers, ask questions, and present your own views.

It will be held from March 2nd 2013 till April 20th 2013.  Registration is possible until March 2, at the Spring School website: http://portal.ou.nl/en/web/springschool/inschrijven
